DG’s Short Profile
Daniel was born in August 7th, 1997 in Estrela, Brazil, but spent most of his life in the nearby town Arroio do Meio. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s at UFRGS, investigating the interplay between quantum integrability and ultracold matter. During this time, he started to feel attracted towards the experimental side of ultracold atomic physics, and he joined the Erbium group in 2021 as a visiting Master’s student during five months. After spending almost a year in Edmonton (Canada) working with an optical-tweezers setup, he returned to Innsbruck in October, 2022 to work as a PhD Student at the T-REQS experiment.
